After installing XNote software, by Dimitry Nikitin, available at their web site: www.xnotestopwatch.com/, plug the X-keys Trigger Switch in an available USB port and wait for Windows to recognize it.
Open XNote Stopwatch and select Hotkeys from the More menu.
Click in the field for each control you want to program and press the button on the trigger switch. The macro pre-programmed in the trigger switch will appear.
After you have assigned all three buttons, the screen should look something like this. Click OK to save the hotkey assignments.

The XNote Stopwatch Trigger Switch comes pre-programmed with the following macros. No software or special drivers are required.
- Button 1 (upper finger) = Ctrl + Shift + Alt +F8
- Button 2 (lower finger) = Ctrl + Shift + Alt +F7
- Button 3 (thumb) = Ctrl + Shift + Alt + F6
These long macros were selected to prevent conflicts with other common macros in Windows. It is possible to reprogram the device with our MacroWorks 3.1 software.
