X-keys® Custom Printed Legends and Keys
We offer a number of options for labeling your dedicated keys ranging from making your own on paper to having industrial molded keys made for your application.
X-keys Printed Paper Squares
The MacroWorks 3.1 software included with your X-keys has a built-in utility for creating a paper print out with cut lines so you can easily make legends to identify the keys. Just click on the "Legends" tab to begin. You can choose a background color and up to three lines of text, select a colored icon from an included collection or import your own images.

Pre-cut Legends from P. I.
Use one of the templates below to position your text or artwork on the keycap shapes and submit it to us for a quote. We print your artwork on light weight cardstock with a professional quality inkjet printer and use a rotary craft cutting machine to cut the legends for an exact fit under our lenses.

Our relegendable clear keys come in four sizes - single, wide, tall, and large 2x2. Replacement keycaps are available in blue, green, red, orange, purple, solid gray, and solid beige. Find more information or order them here.
Acrylic Printed Keys
Using an industrial printer with UV cured acrylic ink and clear coat, we print your text or icons on blank ABS molded keycaps. This provides a very durable legend more than ten times thicker that a typical screened ink legend. Using this process as part of an OEM turnkey solution, we pre-load the blank keys to increase efficiency and lower the cost (more info).

Molded Double-Shot Keycaps
The most durable option, with molded double-shot key caps the text or icon is the same thickness as the key surface and is guaranteed to remain legible for the lifetime of the keycap. We have a long standing partnership with an excellent manufacturer and will manage the project from start to finish.
